She hears but she does not listen
She who is stuck in her little crystal.
The crystal reflects the light and shines all the time.
It looks precious and absolutely beautiful from the outside.
How does it feel to be inside though?
She who is stuck within her crystal wall.
Wondering about the light which shines in from the outside world.
Wondering about the cheery birds that twitter near her walls sometimes.
Her thoughts and songs are unheard.
It resonates within her crystal cage.
So she sit in her crystal stare out all day and sing to herself.
Then she saw it, someone was chipping at the round glass opposite her with an ice pick.
She gasped and thought to herself 'How can he do that'
She thought the girl inside the glass must have been horrified!
She turned to the girl and saw her helping the boy.
Then the girl in the crystal realized that the girl in the glass wants to go out and meet the boy.
'How odd' she thought to herself.
The world outside seemed so..so..uncertain but in the crystal, everything is in order and works perfectly.
So why would the girl in the glass wants to go out?
So she sat and thought about it everyday.
One day, she heard strange sound.
She turned to source of the noise and found a boy was chipping at her crystal wall.
She panicked, he was destroying her pretty wall.
He was trying to get into her private sanctuary.
So she tried to stop him.
Waving frantically for him to stop & she was also yelling 'STOP'
But the boy kept going.
He came everyday to work on the wall and everyday the girl would try stopping him.
The girl expected to wake up to the chipping sound made by the boy but she didn't
She waited for him but she didn't see him the whole day.
She waited the next day too and yet he didn't come.
So she thought perhaps she's finally pushed him away
She felt awkward without the presence of the boy.
As she looked out from her crystal home, she saw the girl in the glass with the boy who broke into her glass walking around the gardens.
They were happy, genuinely happy.
Maybe she could be like that too if only she didn't push her boy away.
She took a look around her lil crystal home
Such a pretty and safe place but it has no warmth.
She pulled her blanket over her head and held it tight but yet she felt no warmth.
'Tuk, Tuk, Tuk'
She sprang up from her bed after she heard it.
The boy has returned!
This time, instead of trying to get him to go away,
She picked up the nearest object and started to work on the crystal wall
The boy was surprised but continued to break the wall with his little ice pick.
So both of them kept working on the wall.
Maybe they will be happy, maybe they won't.
But they will try as they work on the thick thick wall of the crystal.
Because you don't know what you have until you nearly lose it.
